Purchases are made by adults. Pen Pal Travels may collect the purchaser’s name, email address, and order information, along with the recipient’s shipping name and address.

For optional email marketing, Pen Pal Travels may collect and maintain an adult’s email address; first and last name when voluntarily provided or associated with a purchase; marketing consent status; the date, time, source, and language version of consent, including whether consent came from checkout or the homepage; customer or plan status when relevant; and subscription, unsubscribe, delivery, and engagement records.

Recipient information is used to prepare and deliver the purchased mailings. Purchaser and order information is used to provide customer support and fulfill the order.

Marketing information may be used to send requested marketing communications; deliver bonus content and activities; announce destinations, products, and offers; distinguish current customers from other email subscribers; manage communication preferences; maintain consent and unsubscribe records; measure and improve email performance; prevent spam, abuse, or fraudulent submissions; and meet legal or compliance obligations.

Adult customers and website visitors may voluntarily opt in to receive marketing emails from Pen Pal Travels. These emails may include:

• Bonus children’s activities
• Country-inspired family ideas
• New destination announcements
• Product or business updates
• Gift reminders
• Occasional discounts or special offers
• Content that complements the monthly physical mailing

Marketing consent is optional. The marketing checkbox is not required to complete a purchase, and purchasing Pen Pal Travels does not automatically enroll someone in marketing emails.

Customers may still receive necessary non-marketing emails related to a purchase, subscription, payment, fulfillment, account, or customer-service request. These may include purchase and payment confirmations, billing notices, subscription or renewal information, fulfillment updates, cancellation confirmations, account notices, customer-service responses, and legally required notices.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not stop necessary transactional or service-related communications.

This website is intended for adults purchasing products for children. Pen Pal Travels does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Recipient information is used only to fulfill and support purchased mailings. It is not shared with other subscribers, children, individual travelers, or a pen pal.

Marketing-email forms are intended for an adult parent, guardian, purchaser, gift giver, or other adult visitor. Pen Pal Travels does not ask children to submit their own email addresses through these forms. A child recipient’s name used for physical-mail fulfillment is kept separate from the adult marketing-email profile.

Payment card information is processed by Stripe. Pen Pal Travels does not store full payment card information on its own servers.

Information may be shared with service providers only as needed for payment processing, website operation, printing, mailing, customer support, and order fulfillment.

Pen Pal Travels uses EmailOctopus as an email-marketing service provider to store marketing contacts, manage subscriber preferences, deliver emails, and provide campaign reporting. EmailOctopus processes this information on behalf of Pen Pal Travels for those purposes. Pen Pal Travels may also use hosting, payment, analytics, security, and other service providers as described in this policy.

Recipients can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails. Unsubscribe requests apply to marketing communications.

Pen Pal Travels and EmailOctopus may retain limited suppression or preference records so the request continues to be honored. A later purchase does not automatically reverse a previous unsubscribe. Necessary transactional or service communications may still be sent while the person remains a customer.

Marketing-consent, subscription, and unsubscribe records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to manage communication preferences, document consent, honor unsubscribe requests, maintain suppression records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect Pen Pal Travels and its customers.
